HW for Tuesday, Feb. 7--study poetic terminology, definitions and poetic examples

You will have a quiz on Thursday. Be able to match poetic terms to their definition (for example, match " alliteration" to "the repetition of words that begin with the same letter"). You must also be able to identify what technique a provided line of poetry is an example of (for example, "she walked with the whole world protecting her" is an example of both alliteration and hyperbole).

HW #16 IRP week 6, HW #17 Write response to poem and song, Monday, Feb. 6

Write a detailed plan of attack for your IRP project. Remember it must be creative and show effort, be interactive and be directly related to your book.

Also, follow the guidelines on the handout provided in class to respond to the poetic techniques used in your poem and your song.
